San Diego Wedding Preview | Tim & Amanda

Mt Woodson Castle is an OASIS on the outskirts of San Diego. When you’re there, the outside world falls off the radar... It’s obvious why Tim & Amanda chose to get married at this wedding venue. Did I mention it’s a castle? What’s more, there’s an awesome golf course next door…. and I was lucky enough to join Tim and the groomsmen for a round before the wedding!

The day was perfect, soft breeze with that warm California sun (read: instant sun burn). Dinner was outside under string lights and toasts were given during sunset, I mean it was just PERFECT. Amanda did a First Look with her dad, which I LOVE (hey, I have a little girl… I know how sentimental this is for dad!). That was such a sweet moment… well done, Greg!

Then there was the moment when Tim saw Amanda come down the aisle, and he drove BOTH HANDS into his eyes to fight the tears (see image below). Well, that didn’t work. “Tim never cries!” Amanda later told me. Hah!

Tim & Amanda love hockey, and their favorite teams were facing off the night of the wedding. They surprised everyone at their Grand Entrance by coming out with their favorite team’s jersey on! Sorry, Tim… looks like your Sharks got smoked.

And then, in all my weddings, JAG Affair led probably the most OUTRAGEOUSLY ENTERTAINING wedding game I’ve ever seen. It was just before dinner. “All right, tables,” he announced, “we need to determine the order in which you will go to buffet… choose the most competitive person at your table.” MUSICAL CHAIRS meets SCAVENGER HUNT. A nickel… a pair of socks… a $100 bill… contestants ran to get items in order to get their assignment in line at buffet. Last to get back to your seat? You lose. More on this in the FULL FEATURE to follow — the pictures will make you laugh, even if you weren’t there to witness the pandemonium.

From Chile and beyond, shoutout to all the family and friends who traveled near and far for Tim & Amanda’s wedding. It’s such an incredible experience to see family come from all over the planet to be together, if even for a brief moment in time.
