Dan & Dani’s Summer Wedding at Cliff House Maine

Dan & Dani’s wedding was a perfect summer affair! When you get married in coastal Maine, there’s no guarantee what the weather will be, even in August. Their beautiful August wedding was punctuated by a strong breeze and crashing waves from the aftermath of Hurricane Erin that moved out to sea. For this reason, we opted to do a majority of the portraits inside so as to avoid windblown hair throughout the formal portraits. Fortunately, Cliff House is rich with beautiful backdrops inside just as much as outside, including the sliding barn doors to the Oceanview Terrace Salon (where cocktail hour is held).

After Dan & Dani’s First Look on the rocks, we were able to capture stunning wedding portraits with spectacular waves in the background. We returned later for a few shots at sunset, and ended the night with our signature champagne celebration photos.
