Elisabeth & Joseph - A Spring Wedding at Cliff House Maine

Elisabeth & Joseph got married at Cliff House Maine on what New Englanders know to be a classic day of Maine weather. It was sunny when they got ready for the day. It was cloudy and windy for their first look on the iconic “rocks of Cliff House,” where they exchanged private vows, to a full-on mist just after their wedding ceremony finished. The ceremony was led by their friend Connor, who pulled in stories and life lessons from skiing trips together, which made it meaningful, personal, and enjoyable for all.

There were thoughtful details everywhere, it felt perfectly authentic. Elisabeth painted Joseph a watercolor card, hand painted oyster shells for the seating chart, and somehow got everyone wearing “I ♥ Joe” tattoos by the end of the day.

Joseph also slipped in a few subtle Lord of the Rings nods—leaf cufflinks and custom groomsmen knives with a quote that said everything about the day: showing up together and all in. Joseph subtly shared his cufflinks with Elisabeth during the Best Man’s toast, met with an endearing smile, as the photos show.

They even enjoyed their family’s Malenchini wine from Italy throughout the evening. The reception kicked off in style with a choreographed first dance that had everyone cheering. Elisabeth surprised guests with a surprise parody dance with her dad, which he then one-upped with a wall-to-wall singalong led by her brother during his welcome toast. It was perfectly executed and obviously well-rehearsed by guests.

Finally, when the dance floor opened after dinner, the celebration took off immediately—DJ Mark Dixon absolutely delivered, and the dance floor stayed packed until last call.

We closed the evening with EPIC champagne photos! These guys rocked it like pros, sure to proudly show the Malenchini label!
